Slainte! Welcome to the Holy Grail
The old St. Joseph’s Church was built in 1895-1896 by William J. O’Connor and was established as a Parish in 1898. More than 113 years later, it’s been reborn into one of the seacoast’s premiere restaurants and strives to be a pub in the truest sense. Owners, David and Maureen Kennedy, have combined present day notions with their family’s Irish traditions to bring you a unique dining experience.
The “Cottage Room” resembles the home of Maureen’s grandparents on Joyce Mountain located down the road from James Joyce, the famous Irish author and poet.
The “Choir Loft” is an intimate dining experience overlooking the Main Bar and beautiful village mural displayed high on the Altar wall.
Booths, inspired church’s pews, line the walls with exceptional views of original stain-glass windows and authentic Irish/English cuisine will excite every pallet.
